There will be other UHD content available besides Sky.

Who knows, maybe VM are negotiating with Sky right now, but I do think there will be no deal until 2019.

If you think about it, BT's deal with Sky doesn't start until 2019 either, so this is not necessarily Virgin's fault that we have to wait.
