More likely the problem is his screen size, viewing distance, eyes, or some combination of these. I have a 47" UHD TV about 3 metres from my desk, and I can't see the difference on that either. But I have seen plenty of stunning UHD on larger or closer TVs.

The behaviour might vary depending on whether you have the new V6 software that's currently on pilot. I know OLD BOY has it, and I suspect Ultimate.Conj does too (being in Berkshire)
