A reasonable number of people seem to enjoy it (I'm not amongst their number) - it seems harmless enough, and entertains some people (in the UK, 6.9 million people watching was the average figure, with a peak of 8.1 million).
Better viewing figures than Britain's Got Talent (which I don't watch either).
