If it is for a Virgin Media RG6 cable then its best to use compression fittings and a proper tool to fit them. VM also uses triple shielded RG6 to further prevent noise ingress. Don't cheap out on connectors and cable as it could have a detrimental impact on your connection and your neighbours!
