It’s a win-win for Grassley and the Republicans - if anything does come out of it, they win; if nothing comes out of it, it’s a ‘cover up’ by the ‘deep state’ and the ‘corrupt FBI’, and they win.
And in the meantime, less focus on what the Committee are supposed to be looking at (congressional investigations into Russian election meddling), and more distraction.
