The point is, VM have to pay for it. Costs have to be passed on to subscribers. It's a tricky one, because Full House subscribers are having to pay for BT Sport even if they do not watch sport. A further price rise on account of yet another sports channel would not be welcomed by those subscribers.
Perhaps the answer might be for VM to add the TV Player to its range of apps. This would also put paid to those who argue that other Freeview channels should be added to the VM platform.

There are plans to launch on VM but it will not be available at launch.

Just taken a look at this channel on Freeview. Not a particularly good picture on there. They could do with providing an HD version of Freesports.
If you have a biggish screen, this is not a good watch.
