 He features heavily in CB Fry's autobiography, A Life Worth Living which is a great read (minus Fry's admiration for Hitler and the Hitler youth, which is taken out of later editions), highly recommend it. That aside cricket history up until around 1950 ish has always fascinated me.

 Some of the truest things said in jest, he sure did fit a lot into a life blighted by illness, ruled a huge swathe of India, was part of setting up the league of nations and a fabulous batsman to boot
