Yes, I get that, but (and this is not shooting the messenger, it's shooting the message)...

Sky Sports Mix is a FTA channel, supposedly for tempting non-subscribers with selected stuff.

Red-button is great for when there's genuine overflow, it's not a substitute for putting particular games/matches/events on a proper HD-broadcast channel. Currently numbered channels mean that 6 live events can be "broadcast" simultaneously plus F1.

That doesn't seem to be the case anymore - it also occurred to me last night about how European rugby weekends will be handled, I think the current BT/Sky share certainly has some time to run yet. It's not uncommon for those to spill across 2 Sky channels at the same time.
