How much space does 4k take up

That is the one thing about the V6 that disappoints me. I was expecting a 2TB version, but it didn't materialise.
1TB gives you a mere 100 hours worth of HD recordings, so record a 22 part series of The Blacklist in HD, and that's virtually a quarter of your disk space taken up.
I've had to get round this by ordering a second v6 to give me 200 hours for HD, plus a DVD recorder, which gives me an additional 300 hours.
So once I get the new boxes delivered next month, my 500 hours of SD recordings that I normally rely on can be 500 hours in HD.
UHD recordings? I don't think I will ever record in UHD because it will simply take up far too much space on the HDD. We may find that UHD content is only accessed via on demand anyway, which removes that particular problem. I just hope that the powers that be permit us sufficient time to watch on demand material in the future. It often takes me a year to watch anything with the backlog of recordings I accrue.
