Because millions of us don't rush and buy the latest "shiny" that's why. My current tv is nearly five years old and won't be changed until it finally gives up the ghost, last one we got nearly 10 years out of.

Must be nice to have so much money to dispose of expensive electronics that work perfectly well because of a perceived "missing out".

4K content? Never mind that the laws of physics suggest that unless you are sitting about 2 inches from the screen the eye is physically incapable of telling the difference...

...it's all marketing hype, who here who rushed out to get a 4k telly also bought into the 3d hype of a couple of years ago and also rushed out to buy one of those?

Large hard drives in the PVR- 1Tb really? Very surprised the drive isn't at least 2Tb to match SkyQ if not 4Tb.

I put 1Tb drives in each of my 1st generation sky+HD boxes many years ago.
Fully agree, 1TB is small nowadays. 8tb is freely available and 12tb have been announced.

How much space does 4k take up
