Unhappy Re: Carrie fisher has died RIP

Oh, no! What is it about this year?! Even now, right near its end...!

And I've just come back from watching Rogue One, and absolutely loving it...right at the end there's a surprise appearance. It could almost be seen as a tribute of sorts now.

She will be forever remembered as the mould-breaking princess - not content just to be rescued but actually taking up arms and participating in her own rescue. This princess had plenty to say, too - classic lines perfectly delivered:

"I should have expected to find you holding Vader's leash! I recognised your foul stench when I was brought on board!"

(In fact that one was very difficult for her; here she was, a mere 19 years of age, awed to be facing and working with one of the greatest movie icons ever, Peter Cushing - a man so gracious and charming in person that she kept bursting into tears after speaking the line! He had to repeatedly reassure the poor girl he wasn't taking it personally, and in the end the only way she could do it was to overdo it - but she got the exact effect of contempt Lucas wanted)

"Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" - not exactly what a rescuer would expect to hear, is it? No "My hero! I'm saved!"

"You're who?" - and just why did Luke think she'd know who he was?!

"Will somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?!"

There is no death; there is the Force, a Jedi would say. Let's hope it's true.
