How reliable will BT, Sky and Talktalk be with cloud technology driving their tv services, not forgetting they've all got to share BT's FTTC copper wires alongside broadband services? Not much, I'd suggest.
Talktalk and Bt offer iptv over the openreach network, as MM said BT offer HD and UHD content too, also Sky use the openreach platform for on demand content.
Vm are just spiteful who go crying to ofcom if someone witholds a service from them, yet they keep their own platform closed.
Openreach are already upgrading to G.Fast and testing something else too. Already with services like hyperoptic it is clear the the openreach network will be fine, it does need upgrading but hyperoptic are already achieving 1gbs speeds both ways on it.
