There are test networks available for tests, rolling something out onto customer facing networks then rolling it back is unexpected. As the whole thing was encrypted and not visible on the EPG, why remove it if a launch is imminent? It hasn't been removed from the SDT and is still present in the Network Information Table on a limited number of "test" networks.
I'm inclined to agree that "test" services added to VM's internal networks aren't that important or significant, there is no guarantee that these will eventually appear on the EPG. I sometimes wonder if someone at VM adds this stuff as a joke and then sits back waiting for it to be reported in this thread.
