No, I did not know it existed! I will check it out tonight, but I have decided to return to VM. Sky will not match the VM offer; they would only knock £3 off a £99.99 monthly bill. Yet Sky are offering up to 75% off for new customers, plain madness. Same reason I left VM 18months ago, so frustrating. All I want is a good service at a fair price and I would stay loyal to my current provider. I suppose in 12 months I will have to switch back to SKY or BT or one of the others, instead of staying loyal and subsidising new customers.

Looking at DigitalSpy, perhaps next time I will only need to look only for an internet provider, Disney, CBS are looking to stream directly to consumers, a good number of Freeview channels are available through streaming too. It gives them total control over advertising revenue, regional distribution, and targeted advertising. It will not be long before small to media content studios join the club, especially with the enablement of the cloud. The new Star-trek series from CBS appears to be a stream only option, same as Top Gear team on Amazon, Netflix to mention another.

Possibly, why VM are dipping their toes into creating content, I think Linear TV provider’s days are numbered.
