Well guys, my TiVo is now back to normal with all the old recordings listed and new recordings working OK.
I am completely baffled why all this happened completely on its own, with me just a helpless spectator.
Still, I am pleased to know that I am not alone in being targetted by the TiVo poltergeist.
My avatar is a picture of me when I first saw what TiVo had done.
