Re: Several people feared dead in Munich shopping centre shooting

He was obsessed with Anders Breivik apparently. I find it odd to have a German-Iranian citizen involved in a shooting spree and it's a far-right white supremacist who he, at least according to reports so far, was 'inspired' by. Yesterday incidentally has the 5 year anniversary of that attack.

It seems so far though that it was the murder aspect, rather than any political aspect, that inspired him which I think would mean it isn't a terrorist attack. Again this is all speculative.

Some of the reporting is poor again though. Look at this line:

Quote:
The German 18-year-old who killed nine people at a Munich shopping centre on Friday night was obsessed with mass killings, owned a book on US school shootings and played computer shooting games.
I guess it's relevant but you need more than that to call it an obsession. Many of us have played 'computer shooting games'. It's also not unusual to own books about horrible things.
