Plus, I have a bit of info that I was going to post on the linear channels thread about what James Murdoch said recently in relation to linear channels and film rights. Basically, he thinks it may be time soon to stop the process that gives cinemas the right to show films first. He hinted quite strongly that he would like there to be an option for pay tv operators/streaming companies the option to show brand new films immediately alongside their cinema premier.

So, perhaps in the near future, Sky Cinema may be just that. Films that are in the cinema.
Interesting to note that the Murdochs are opposed to exclusivity when it operates against them.
