Why should people vote for people/parties they don't support ? It simply isn't right to say people should vote regardless ,they have to have something to vote for . In our system not voting by enough people can send a pretty powerful message
No it doesn't. It's a first past the post mentality and the winning party doesn't give a stuff about the fact that they don't have the support of anything up to 2/3rds of the electorate of voting age.They just simply ignore them.

However if you won't be part of the process then you have no right to criticise the choice of those that did bother.
