The Netflix test isn't there to massage the egos of avid speed testers, give them masturbation material or give them big numbers to paste to their mates to show how 1337 their connection is. It's there to give an idea of Netflix experience.
My own test opened connections to 2 servers at my ISP's Netflix Open Connect CDN, 2 servers in the Amazon Elastic Cloud's US West 2 instance, and 4 of Netflix's own London servers.
The numbers in an 8+ connection Ookla test hosted on a server on your ISP's own network, or a USwitch test using nearby Amazon EC and Akamai CDNs do not in any way reflect realistic conditions in use.

It's also worth mentioning that if you're serious about testing your connection and are doing it purely for the sake of it rather than because you perceive issues you really need a hobby as you make World of Warcraft players seem awesome.
