Because some have managed to frame the debate on immigration in such a way that unless your fully supportive of unchecked migration your a xenophobic little islander racist it's a fantastic way to make sure very few stick their heads above the parapet and attempt to have a rational debate on the issue. Watching the BBC this morning at a friend's and it was on about the children on their own at the Calais camp with people saying the UK should take responsibility for some of them, it just never ends and then the same people who dislike any debate wonder when resentment and frustration increases.
