joking aside though, if all of your devices can connect on 5ghz (which also allows higher throughput) why are you trying to use 2.4ghz? I doubt there is going to be a fault with the shub but the only way you are going to find out (if you really want to) is to test the connection at different ranges from the shub and also different angles because it is possible the antennae aren't in the right position for where you are currently testing from. If none of that works and you really want to be able to use 2.4ghz then you will need to test with a third party router and see if you have better luck. Tbh though, if your wireless needs are so great that you want to use both bands simultaneously then you might want to consider getting a more high performance router anyway; definitely an ac and maybe even a tri router.
