Why do you think I'm taking a pop at MB? I'm simply questioning VM's system of telling a select few about forthcoming developments for no apparent reason while denying the rest of us knowledge of what is going on.

Agreed. But we are none the wiser knowing that MB and theone have received DNPs. There is always something coming soon, even if it's as trivial as The Test Card +1, so the whole arrangement is pointless.

Yes, it is a set top box that is Liberty Global's own and is operational in other European countries.

From what I can ascertain, a new improved Tivo will be available to Virgin Media customers later this year or early next, and when that has had its day, this will be superceded by a new up to date Horizon box.
