We have about 140 pairs of Heron Gulls that fly (to and through) from a landfill site in Southern Essex which is 35 miles as the Crow flys (sorry about the pun) to West Kent, here they nest all spring/summer/autumn on warehouse/industrial sites. They have not yet been chip/food thieving as yet like they do at the seaside which is the natural habitat. It is an impressive site when you see them return in the evening in mass flocks.
