I agree, Andrew. Sky are treating sections of its customers appallingly. Whether we subscribe to Sky channels through Virgin Media, BT or the Sky satellite system, we should all have the ability to access all their channels, as long as the operator the customer was with was prepared to pay the appropriate price for them.

I used to watch how Sky was developing its product with keen interest, figuring that if it moved ahead of cable, I would happily switch to Sky. But now, I am disinclined to make such a step because I am so annoyed at the disdain they show for their customers.

It's not only their non satellite subscribers, either. They make it as awkward as they possibly can for people to cancel their Sky subscriptions, for example.

Sky think they are being clever, but I reckon they are shooting themselves in the foot. They could attract so many more customers and make more money still if they treated us all with respect.

Even if I had a bargepole, I wouldn't touch Sky with it if I had the choice at the moment.
