Is it direct to the card or via a hub..

Either way just get a straight cat6, though at that short distance a cat 5 will do as long as both are auto sense if going direct to the PC otherwise a crossover will be needed.

Now if you were doing 50+m then I'd start to be fussy about the cable spec

Perhaps a 10m is better for you as it can be coiled but will allow moving it later on if needed
