i have different devices in different rooms a bit like Passingbat.

Tivo + Apple TV + Panasonic Blu Ray (Lounge)
Tivo + Roku + Chromecast (Conservatory)
i Mac (dining room) linked to Apple TV and Chromecast
Samsung smart TV (Extension)

I dont have dedicated devices in the bedrooms (just a mixture of Freesat and Freeview boxes)

But can plug the Apple TV or Chromecast into the other TVs when desired and watch stuff from Laptops, i Pads, phones.

I do fancy a Fire Stick with Kodi though.
