As I understand it the reason for swapping out the older SA V+ boxes is that in the very near future they will no longer be capable of receiving much of the Sky channels' output due to a new method of encoding. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me if I'm wrong.

must introduce a new TiVo box if only to compete with Sky Q and to be able to show 4K when it becomes available. Increased capacity (and more tuners) would be welcome, too.
