Re: Virgin Media email issues
Quote:
Which e-mail attachment file types are blocked?
To protect you from potential viruses, Virgin Media Mail does not allow the sending or receiving of executable files (such as files ending in '.exe') that might contain damaging code.
Neither do we allow other file types that commonly contain harmful code. The following file types are blocked:
"ade", "adp", "bat", "chm", "cmd", "com", "cpl", "exe","hta", "ins", "isp", "jse", "lib", "mde", "msc", "msp","mst", "pif", "scr", "sct", "shb", "sys", "vb", "vbe","vbs", "vxd", "wsc", "wsf", "wsh".
Virgin Media Mail won't accept these types of files even if they are sent in a zipped (.zip, .tar, .tgz, .taz, .z, .gz) format.
This list may be amended from time to time in response to specific threats or viruses in circulation, in order to give you the best protection we can from malicious software.
If this type of file is sent to your Virgin Media Mail account the message is bounced back to the sender
