Re: Unstoppable migration?
Blimey are they Germany's equivalent of RT then?...
None of this surprises me or many of us I'd suggest. The handling of this crisis has exposed the EU's fatal flaws yet again and it's no surprise to me that those at the heart of Europe will do almost anything to hide the reality of what is being allowed to happen. We've already seen emergency measures in various countries on the basis of security but how long before these measures are used to quell public unease at what's going on.
Make no mistake, this problem is massive and the fact that we're not yet seeing anywhere near the full ramifications in the UK should be of no great comfort to us. Unless there's a miracle, things are going to get far worse and trouble is going to spread across Europe whilst people like Merkel cynically instruct their media to turn a blind eye to the mayhem and try to convince their people that nothing's wrong. Once people start to feel the direct effects on their services, jobs, streets, schools, hospitals etc. there's going to be a backlash. It's already happening and it's ugly. The 'welcome' is turning nasty in the extreme and in the US, much of Trump's popularity is based on stopping illegal migration, especially from Mexico where they're facing similar problems to the EU.
