Looks like Sky are to start to erode one of the Unique Selling Points that VM use to try to gain customers- that they will repair the box free of charge.

The new Sky Q box will offered for £99 and will be rented; in the same way that VM do business.

I've never seen the advantage of owning a Sky box, it's value plummets once it's been bought and the customer is liable for any repairs after one year.

Edit: Oh and they've set up a UK call centre for Sky Q customers.
