Re: Networked TiVos - What's The Point?

A quick read of this hands-on review of the forthcoming Sky Q box http://www.stuff.tv/sky/sky-q/review indicates that the viewer will be able to watch all of their recordings on other boxes and devices around the home - and even outside the home.

And this is a pretty big family: a main PVR box, a smaller box for use in other rooms, a new app, and even a router that actually sounds quite cool. And it's all underpinned by rather nifty new software that introduces to Sky some of the most requested features, such as your recordings being available across all devices, even outside the home.
It will even have 'suggestions' which I always thought was a TiVo exclusive even if I personally find them pretty useless. Once Virgin Media announce their next-gen box there might be an interesting few months ahead.
