Not exactly the 'crime of the century' (not even a crime at all) but why oh why would someone like him with a record of trying to expose child abuse do such a thing? Surely he must have known it would come out sooner of later and seriously affect his reputation for the worse.
Just to inject some conspiracy theory into this, does anything think it's totally out of the question that some very high profile powerful people have a vested interest in seeing him brought down and they might be keen to expose any such 'errors of judgement' on his behalf? Just a thought...
