The alternative to a whole bunch of remotes, is a universal remote control, such as the Logitech Harmony remotes. These control 8 or 15 devices and some will control the Bluetooth Fire TV. Harmony's that don't have blue tooth functionality can still be used with the Amazon Fire TV by plugging a FLIRC into the USB port of the Fire TV.
Most services give you a heads up when the rights for a show are about to expire.
