Hugh front line policing has been decimated, if you get rid of all the admin staff, who incidentally are on half what a copper earns who is doing the paperwork, if you get rid of the pcso's who is going to do the crappy jobs they did.
I attended a burglary a few weeks back with officers that I think I mentioned on here, they wanted to downgrade it to criminal damage as although we were certain stuff had been pinched we couldn't say exactly what had gone, I made a joke about massaging figures and they said there was no need to anymore, if you have got enough people to record crimes in the first place those crimes don't become part of the figures.
