Well I can't speak for the right but I dismiss many left-wing blogs too because they're frankly nuts. If a source consistently gets thing wrong then why bother trusting it? If it's opinion then fine but if it's '
Cameron ADMITS he HATES disabled people - Exclusive' type stuff then what's the point?
Concidentally I read a good article about this the other day, it's mostly about the left-wing ones but I think it applies to others too:
Quote:
Yet as with so much in the alternative universe, the alternative media has a tendency to attract those with an agenda even more pernicious than the mainstream it purports to counteract. To “question more”, often means simply to replace one set of second-hand assumptions with the second-hand assumptions of anti-Western sources which throw out any pretence at objectivity.
This role is played increasingly effectively by those who locate themselves within the penumbra of the ‘alternative’ media – a space in which “speaking truth to power” means reliably spouting the opposite line to one’s own government in the manner of a sullen teenager churlishly contradicting his parents.
