But that's a problem I have, the 2.4G band has greater distance range, so it is more likely your mobile connects to that first, but when you are closer in the 5G should be able to give you better bandwidth. Toggling wifi off/on is one way to force your mobile device to search for the best.

Try from your PC just to the SH3, might be enlightening, It might just be response to icmp pings?
