Just had an idea to answer my own question- ish.
Buckingham Palace has it's own unique postcode- SW1A 1AA.
A search of the VM database reveals the the Royal Guards House and the palace kitchen are listed- but not the queens private quarters, I wonder if these details are generated from past queries?? In all likelihood, it appears therefore, that the ruling monarch cannot have VM even if she wanted to!
There's probably some ancient law that says that she could order VM to provide her with services- perhaps she got a 50% off Sky code for her telly though
. I'm only half, joking, as it is well known that the queen is very thrifty when it comes to expenditure. One of her sons once took the corgis out for a walk in the grounds as a child and lost it's lead. Apparently, the queen told him to go back out and not come back until he'd found it as "dog leads cost money". Good for her!!
