Most arrived in Liverpool, many stayed leading to the scouse accent as we know it being born and many embarked for America or moved to other parts of the country where there was work.
Many people consider Irish research particularly challenging as the four courts fire in 1922 destroyed the majority of the Victorian period census records. There are a lot of surviving records available though providing you can determine the townlands your ancestors came from:
Parish registers,Petty sessions and other court diaries, newspapers, Griffiths Valuation, Tithe applotments, Military records etc. etc.
