No show and then told I should answer my phone
Hello!
Moving into our new house today and decided to switch from Sky to Virgin after several years! Booked it well in advance and timed it so they came before our movers............
I waited in all morning and the engineer didn't turn up. I called customer services and was told that they tried to phone yesterday to confirm the booking (despite me doing it weeks ago and posting back I explained I didn't have any missed calls or voicemails but was told 'we did call and you should answer your phone'. They couldn't reschedule until next Friday.
I am really gutted about this because Sky offered to move us on the same day. I need internet for work and currently have nothing until Friday (assuming they turn up).
I am going to see if Sky can reinstate and move my connection and cancel Virgin for now but I was wondering if anyone on this forum can help at all? Even if I could have it installed early next week that would be better.
Also, my phone works fine so not sure if there is another problem preventing Virgin calling me?
