I was never going to find it was I? Well after going through the bag of sweepings to no avail I was just going to have a root around the garage more out of desperation than anything else when I spotted my bumbag on the hall table. I remembered I'd been out earlier and put a few things in there before leaving so just thought I'd take a peek and there was my ring in the bottom!!
When the weather's cooler it always becomes a little loose on my finger but I don't want to tempt fate now so it'll have to stay off for now. Very relieved anyway and to have found it so quickly when it could have been anywhere was a very big bonus.

Phew! Well done on finding it.
I lost my wedding ring once (around 26 years ago), and the topic still comes up in "conversation".

Good for you - it makes a huge difference.
This might be helpful - sleep hygiene.
I found it made a huge (positive) difference to my sleep patterns.
