Re: Connect TiVo to Super Hub via WiFi wireless network

http://support.netgear.com/product/WNDA3100v1

I tried plugging it into my windows 7 PC and there apart from a light on the adapter there was no recognition that it was plugged in. The same with the TiVo.

I see that there may be a basic problem of the TiVo not having way to allow the WDNA3100's software to install.

This one which I stumbled across says

"Universal compatibility—Works with any device with an Ethernet port
Wirelessly connect a home theater device to the Internet.

CD-less, wireless installation"

With regards to why I would want to use it is because of the clunkyness of the TV remote's keypad vs a keyboard and even vs an iPad.

I'd been told the TiVo was capable of being controlled via any device on the network. I'm using TV anywhere which (AFAIK) allows me to watch TV on 2 connected devices.

Its just ease of use for zero outlay was why I wanted it.

On a side note, I paired an iPad via the youtube app to the TV but when I went to demonstrate it I had to enter a passcode again. Is this intended? Shouldn't it remember that its been paired before?
