I can only imagine how low the ideals you credited them with must have been for you to think they could have higher ones.
Sky's primary job has been siphoning money from those obsessed with watching 22 blokes kick a football in ever increasing amounts and handing that cash to clubs to fund obscene wage bills and transfer fees, an enterprise in which they've been joined by our biggest telecomms provider.
The secondary one being using their financial clout to monopolise as much of other sports as possible.
The tertiary one using said financial clout to monopolise other TV and movies.
They've no ideals but know how to extract money from people - which is why our pay TV is among the most expensive in the world.
