Also have you created a separate network for 5Ghz to ensure you're connecting to that? If there is wireless congestion, switching to 5Ghz can be a good place to start.

I have both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks. The 5Ghz works well from about 4 metres away from the router, then is no better than the 2.4Ghz signal elsewhere. It's next to useless though as I don't have anyd evices 4 m away from the router.
As mentioned in another thread, when I test speed with my S3 smartphone, the maximum I get is 35Mb/s. Yet I did the same at a mate's house and I got 70Mb/s on his superhub2.
Tonight, I am going to try using superhub only. No modem mode. If I still get 1/5th of what I am paying for then I am going to ring retentions. The problem simply can't be "my house". Can it?
