Having spoken to a friend who *is* a prison officer, I think it's likely the mobile was taken in another way. You'd be surprised how inventive prisoners' families and friends are in finding ways to get things into prison. In fact, I suspect that if some of them showed half as much ingenuity in keeping their friends/family out of prison as they do in getting stuff into them, the world would be a better place.
