superhub 2 hard reset problem

Hi Guys n gals

Been happily running my shub 2 in modem mode routing through a Linksys E3200 for nearly a year until i terminally lost connection and the occasional router/shub off/on soft reset for random disconnections didn't work.

I tried to use an ethernet cable from the active ethernet port to access the modem config page but this didn't work either (still no connection). Decided to do a hard (paperclip) reset but the thing rebooted back into modem mode again, i thought that a factory restore would put it back into router mode ??.

Rang 151 (Friday night so waited ages to speak to someone on the other side of the world) who did manage to re-set it to router mode.

I'm wondering if the router is faulty, it works OK (ish) in router mode but my son gets lots of disconnections on his X-box one with the shub2 which he never had with the linksys so i really want to be able to put the vm router into modem mode again to test if the linksys is definitely faulty or maybe another router withgout worrying about being able to restore the router capability if i need to.

Also when in modem mode i thought the power button was supposed to turn purple, it doesn't it stays blue.

So in a nutshell the shub doesn't hard reset back to router mode and in modem mode the active ethernet port seems to have stopped working.

Any thoughts gratefully received (General Maximus are you there ).

Cheers all.
