Even if it is currently only on VM, that doesn't make it exclusive, it's just that other platforms haven't taken it up.

Are you saying then that no other platform could contact TIVO and tell them they wanted to use their technology to design a TIVO box that suited them?

If Sky contacted TIVO, would they say no, we have an 'exclusive' deal with VM?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no clause in the contract VM have with TIVO that no-one else can use TIVO technology to design a box that meets their requirements, and given that this is so, I don't accept the comparison.

If you have alternative information that my comment isn't correct, I'd be happy to see it.

Come, come, Den, I have not changed my view on exclusivity. People have just tried to add their connotations to my position on this, but I think I have been pretty clear.

And I don't see any harm in changing one's views to take account of other people's opinions anyway. Surely, that's a strength rather than a weakness.

The one and MM have got in before me on Ginx and TiVo (try buying a new TiVo box on its own over here) but your views don't really change OB. You change your arguments to try and get round other people's opinions, but your overall views simply do not change. There is no harm in people being gracious and admitting they were wrong with their views, and it is indeed a good virtue to eat humble pie, but I have yet to see you do it.
