Re: What have you just bought?

Just ordered a new element for the fan oven on-line from all-spares. £21.50 inc delivery so not too bad. Fortunately I'd noted the part number for it in the handbook from the last time it went. They last about 5 years but we do use the oven virtually every day and I also bake bread which needs it to go flat out at ~270C Probably hastens the demise.

Although the oven was part of a B&Q kitchen package and branded "Banquet Cuisine" it's actually made by Homark and spares are readily available. The element is used by several other manufacturers as well.

Two 5 metre warm white LED light strips from Amazon for the kitchen. They're to replace eleven 221mm 30W tube lamps 6 above and 5 below the cabinets that are forever blowing and darned expensive to replace. There are some LED drop in replacements but they're even more expensive: Around £10 a pop whereas the two strips are £6.50 odd a piece.

I'll run up a 12v dimmable power supply from the bits and bobs I have lying about to juice them.
