Indeed. Top Gear is not important. It will not save lives. It will not be involved in a massive invention, and it's unlikely to educate anyone or initiate massive social change. It's not intended to do any of that. It's a TV programme that is intended to entertain people. Nothing more, nothing less.

As with other such programmes, there will be changes from time to time. Whether it's a change of presenters or cast, a change of format, a change of broadcast time/date or even cancellation. It can be mildly annoying, but it's nothing more that that. Even if the show's cancelled, there will be other shows.
