Apps and BBC I player are generally a miss but that's my own opinion; more of a gimmick then a must have no doubt if I didn't have alternative means to stream I player I would use TIVO and be able to give a full impression. I tried it once in January but it buffered so I abandoned, likewise searching on sky movies is a bit ancient and therefore just use the sky movies app on iTunes but that is horses for courses.
Totally agree - I soon realised that TiVo was a different beast entirely to V+, and it took some getting used to. Once the learning curve was done, there's no going back.

I was affected by broadband utilisation on the TiVo modem until only a couple of months ago, and it was only between that and the release of the new app would I say the iPlayer service has become a usable substitute for recordings. All that's missing now, is the TiVo search reflecting the improved 30day availability of iPlayer content - which I understand is due imminently.

I had a suspicion when upgrading that 500Gb wouldn't have been enough, and that has been repeatedly confirmed. If it's going away for more than a week and/or recording a lot more stuff in HD then the 1Tb would be essential to be honest.

Simple on V+ but not available on TiVo
Well yes.. but I've read the explanation for why this is, on the official-VM site and it makes sense. So if that's the way it has to be, then so be it.
