Just thought I'd give you all an update.
My daughter phoned Virgin this morning and they were very helpful, she confirmed that there is no big button remote but she arranged for a engineer to drop round a high contrast remote today to see if that works, she told me to give it a few days and if I am still not satisfied I could cancel without any charge.
